Jimi: All is by My Side

Having watched Jimi: All is by My Side, I've not run out of bad things to say about it. I understand that nearly every-single-movie is made with blood sweat and tears, even the bad ones (probably more so), and a bunch of people worked so hard to make it. But that said, the filmmaking was shoddy and ineffectively gimmicky at best, and I wish this was an exaggeration, but it isn't. A shame because I thought Andre 3000 played the part well. I don't think I'll elaborate any further and I'll leave it at that, at least for now.

A few other things though, other than doing a biopic on a tween Hendrix before he was the guitar legend that he became, you cannot just gloss over the incessant drug use and pretend it never fucking happened.
Also, the movie cannot be missing the most important thing about the man, HIS FUCKING MUSIC. And the most egregious offense (I think) is, you simply cannot do a proper Hendrix biopic getting the fucking guitar wrong, it needs to be a white fucking Fender Stratocaster (in this period), anything else is just plain unforgivable.

At the end of the day though, given all the movie's shortcomings, the question of whether or not it was a good movie needs to be addressed, and the honest as fuck answer to that is a resounding NO.
