I suppose its only fitting that the first post on this new blog is on a memorable date, albeit a sad one. Exactly this day, at exactly this time (20:46hrs MNL, 08:46 NY), the first of two planes deliberately crash on the top floors of the World Trade Center in New York. This date holds a very important personal significance to me, one which I will never forget.
Having been introduced to blogging in 2002, I've had my ups and downs, had websites come and go. Truth be told, I was, and still am, not a particularly good blogger (if at all), mainly due to weeks, even months could pass without even so much as a post—much less an interesting one. This new blog will be the venue for mostly images I find, some images that I happen by, and images (maybe even sets of them) that do not necessarily fit into the somewhat rigid mold the main site displays.
This photoblog-of-sorts will most probably serve as a venue to post (images) in a fairly straightforward manner (usually on the fly, much thanks to the availability of more mobile devices to do so). One could say that I ended up doing just that in the other blog... I suppose the main difference now being, I am now free from clutter (whether in design or content) and am still able to keep my old cluttered blog online.

That said, I think that at this point, some credit is in order... I thank Dan who introduced Cargo™ to me in 2008 as an alternative to the Indexhibit™ platform we've been using for my website at the time, thanks Dan. Helping me with some coding in this present incarnation of juan.ph are my programmers (Admins) Ninoy and Carlo aka The Wondertwins, who'm I've bugged to no end with technical questions at ungodly hours due largely to my (at best) pedestrian knowledge of CSS and HTML.
I'd also like to extend much thanks to the writers, editors, publicists, curators, galleries, artists, collaborators, and all sorts of creative-types (and not-so-creative-types) that have supported and supplied me with the material that can now be found on the main site. That said, I hope you'll enjoy occasionally going through this blog's contents as much as I do posting, well... Whatever.
