New Toy

I initially planned on this blog being (mostly, but not entirely) dedicated to "film" excursions, but as of now, that goal is looking dimmer. I'd have to say though that I did not have very high hopes for this product early on... That is until I have used one, then another, from friends that got them early on. I'm not replacing my notebooks or desktops but this does seem to conveniently bridge the gap between my idea of having a smart phone and always having to lug around a Macbook Air (which, I admit, isn't too heavy).

It was a pretty girl that kept egging me on in every single conversation and eventually, another photographer that drove the final nail into the coffin.
I was introduced to apps that (very very) roughly approximates the results of what would need a few minutes on Photoshop or a few hours in the darkroom, and it was accomplished in mere seconds with a few hand gestures on his iPad. It was such a demo that it dawned on me that photography is indeed dead, or turning into a fucking useless zombie. My views on that particular subject notwithstanding, I'd have to say that the iPad IS.JUST.PURE.FUN. Period.

...After all, what's an analog photo blog without uploading the occasional (*insert app name) tweaked photo?
